NADRES (National Animal Disease Referral Expert System) is an online animal disease forewarning system developed by ICAR-NIVEDI. It combines disease event information, meteorological data, and predictive models to improve early warning and response capacity to animal disease threats across India.
The main objective of NADRES is to provide early warnings for animal disease outbreaks, enhance preparedness, and improve response to epidemics and zoonotic diseases. It integrates disease event data from various sources to assist in disease prevention and control.
NADRES collects data from AICRP centers, meteorological data from sources like IMD and NICRA, remote sensing variables from MODIS and LANDSAT, and livestock data from the National Census. The data is verified and entered in a double-data-entry validation mode to ensure accuracy.
NADRES includes data related to disease outbreaks, weather parameters, livestock population and density, and remote sensing variables like NDVI and LST. This data is used for disease prediction, analysis, and forecasting.
Integrates disease event data with climatic and non-climatic data (e.g., LST, precipitation, wind speed, NDVI).
Uses statistical models and machine learning algorithms for two-month advance disease risk prediction.
Provides automated forewarnings using GLM, GAM, and machine learning models like Random Forest and ANN.
Combines data from 31 AICRP Centers across India.
NADRES V2 uses various machine learning methods such as Random Forest (RF), Artificial Neural Networks (ANN), and Generalized Linear Models (GLM) to predict disease occurrences two months in advance. It analyzes disease data in combination with meteorological factors to forecast potential outbreaks.
