Swachhata Samvad: Dialogues and discussions promoting awareness and community involvement in cleanliness initiatives Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) is an annual initiative that aims to spread the message of cleanliness across India. In 2024, this campaign is being celebrated from 17th September to 2nd October, and it marks a nationwide call to action for promoting cleanliness and hygiene. A key component of this campaign is "Swachhata Samvad," which focuses on dialogues and discussions that raise awareness and encourage community involvement in cleanliness efforts. These interactive sessions allow citizens, especially young students, to learn about the importance of sanitation and its role in building a healthier and cleaner nation.

On the occasion of Swachhata Hi Seva 2024, we took part in an outreach activity by visiting a government primary school in Mavalipura, Shivakotte Post, Hesaraghatta. The goal was to create awareness about the significance of cleanliness in our surroundings, especially among young students, as they play a critical role in shaping the future of society.

During our visit, we conducted several activities aimed at engaging the children in meaningful conversations about hygiene, sanitation and their responsibilities toward keeping their school and community clean. "Swachhata Samvad" allowed the students to actively participate in discussions, ask questions, and share their ideas on how they can contribute to cleanliness efforts in their daily lives. one of the speakers, motivated the children by emphasizing the importance of maintaining cleanliness in their school premises and their homes. She highlighted how proper hygiene practices not only create a pleasant environment but also prevent the spread of diseases, especially zoonotic diseases that can transfer from animals to humans. Important instructions were given on maintaining hygiene, such as proper handwashing techniques, the use of dustbins and keeping classrooms tidy.

Our visit to the school was a success, with active participation from the students and teachers, reinforcing the belief that awareness and action at the grassroots level can lead to a cleaner, healthier society.
