About NERLDF

NORTH EASTERN REGION LIVESTOCK FORECASTING (NERLDF)

OUR FOCUS
The NERLDF application integrated with the PDDES application represents a significant advancement in livestock management within NER region. Developed collaboratively by ICAR-National Institute of Veterinary Epidemiology and Disease Informatics, Bengaluru Karnataka and Assam Agricultural University (AAU), Guwahati, Assam. The NERLDF addresses the pressing need for proactive disease diagnosis, prevention and management among livestock owners. At its core, the app focuses on providing timely and accurate diagnostic and forecasting information to empower farmers in mitigating the impact of disease outbreaks on their herds. By harnessing the power of artificial intelligence-based algorithms and data analytics, the app predicts the likelihood of disease outbreaks based on a myriad of factors such as weather patterns, environmental conditions, and historical disease data. This forecasting capability enables farmers to take pre-emptive measures to protect their livestock, such as implementing quarantine protocols or scheduling vaccinations. In addition to forecasting, the NERLDF app serves as a comprehensive resource hub, offering valuable information on disease symptoms, treatment options, preventive measures and concerned veterinary hospital contact details to ease the diagnosis and management process. Overall, the NERLDF application stands as a pivotal tool in bolstering the resilience of the livestock industry in the North East Region, equipping farmers with the tools and insights needed to safeguard their livelihoods and ensure the health and well-being of their animals.
